【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthesnaggingresistanceofafabric.1.2Studiesoffabricsnagginghaveshownthatthistestmethodissuitableforarangeofwovenandknittedfabricsmadefromtexturedoruntexturedfilamentyarnsorspunyarnsorcombinationsoftheseyarns.,Thistestmethodisnotsuitablefor(1)openconstructionfabrics(suchasanet)becausethepinsinthetestchamberwillsnagthebeanbagratherthanthespecimen,(2)heavyorstifffabricsthatcannotbemadeintoacoverforthebeanbag,and(3)tuftedornonwovenfabricsbecausetheapparatusisdesignedforwovenandknittedfabrics.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbetheexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Incaseofrefereedecisionsthemetricunitswillprevail.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.

Scope:This specification covers a polycarbonate resin in the form of extrusions and moldings. These products have been used typically for mechanical parts requiring high impact strength from -55 to +135 degrees C (-65 to +275 degrees F), clarity, high strength, and dimensional stability, but usage is not limited to such applications. These products are sensitive to some solvents; each application must be evaluated on its own merits.
