【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefultodeterminethemechanicalforceofspiralcoilsofthermostatmetal.Themechanicalpropertiesofacoilmayvaryfromlottolotofthermostatmetalmaterial.Thismethodisusefulfordeterminingtheoptimumthicknessandlengthofthematerialforagivenmechanicaltorquespecification.Thistestisusefulasaqualitytesttodetermineacceptanceorrejectionofalotofthermostatmetalcoils.1.1Thetestmethodcoverstheprinciplesofdeterminingthemechanicaltorquerateofspiralcoilsofthermostatmetal.Note18212;Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedparticularlytocoverthedeterminationofthemechanicaltorquerateofspiralcoilsmadeofthermostatmetalforcarburetorsandmanifoldheatcontrols.Themethodisnotlimitedtothermostatmetalsandcanbeusedforspiralcoilsofothermaterialsforwhichthetorqueratemustbemeasuredaccurately.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Themetricequivalentsofinch-poundunitsmaybeapproximate.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
