【摘要】:(1)ThescopeofEurocode8isdefinedinEN1998-1:2004,l.l.1andthescopeofthisStandardisdefinedin(2),(4)and(5).AdditionalpartsofEurocode8areindicatedinEN1998-1:2004,1.1.3.(2)ThescopeofEN1998-3isasfollows:-Toprovidecriteriafortheevaluationoftheseismicperformanceofexistingindividualbuildingstructures.-Todescribetheapproachinselectingnecessarycorrectivemeasures-Tosetforthcriteriaforthedesignofretrofittingmeasures(i.e.conception,structuralanalysisincludinginterventionmeasures,finaldimensioningofstructuralpartsandtheirconnectionstoexistingstructuralelements).NOTEForthepurposesofthisstandard,retrofittingcoversboththestrengtheningofundamagedstructuresandtherepairofearthquakedamagedstructures.(3)Whendesigningastructuralinterventiontoprovideadequateresistanceagainstseismicactions,structuralverificationsshouldalsobemadewithrespecttonon-seismicloadcombinations.(4)ReflectingthebasicrequirementsofEN1998-1:2004,thisStandardcoverstheseismicassessmentandretrofittingofbuildingsmadeofthemorecommonlyusedstructuralmaterials:concrete,steel,andmasonry.NOTEInformativeAnnexesA,BandCcontainadditionalinformationrelatedtotheassessmentofreinforcedconcrete,steelandcomposite,andmasonrybuildings,respectively,andtotheirupgradingwhennecessary.(5)AlthoughtheprovisionsofthisStandardareapplicabletoallcategoriesofbuildings,theseismicassessmentandretrofittingofmonumentsandhistoricalbuildingsoftenrequiresdifferenttypesofprovisionsandapproaches,dependingonthenatureofthemonuments.(6)Sinceexistingstructures:(i)reflectthestateofknowledgeatthetimeoftheirconstruction,(ii)possiblycontainhiddengrosserrors,(iii)mayhavebeensubmittedtopreviousearthquakesorotheraccidentalactionswithunknowneffects,structuralevaluationandpossiblestructuralinterventionaretypicallysubjectedtoadifferentdegreeofuncertainty(levelofknowledge)thanthedesignofnewstructures.Differentsetsofmaterialandstructuralsafetyfactorsarethereforerequired,aswellasdifferentanalysisprocedures,dependingonthecompletenessandreliabilityoftheinformationavailable.
