【摘要】:ThepurposeofthistestmethodistoestablishacommonmethodbywhichmanufacturersandusersofASTMhydrometersinspect,verify,orcalibratetheirhydrometers.Thegoalistoprovideastandardmethodthatissimple,easilyunderstood,andwillproducereliableresults.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestheprinciples,apparatus,andproceduresfortheinspection,calibration,andverificationofASTMglasshydrometers.ThistestmethodisapplicabletoASTMhydrometersandmaybeusedforothergeneralhydrometersoftheconstant-mass,variable-displacementtype.Note1UsermustdeterminetheapplicabilityofthismethodforhydrometersotherthanASTMhydrometers.MethodstudieswerecompletedforASTMhydrometersonlyandtheprecisionandbiasstatementsweredevelopedusingASTMhydrometersonly.Referencestoothertypesofhydrometersareforuserinformationonly.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Themetricequivalentsofinch-poundunitsmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
